Today we learnt Photo Story and Hot Potatoes.
Photo Story was interesting... Its like making powerpoint presentations but in a simpler way using photos ONLY. We edit the photos, add in caption, recorded narrations, put in songs and tadaaaa our story is created. Simple and sweet. We can definitely use this for lessons. Eg. we can give them a few random photos online and as a group they make their own story on this photos within a given time den present. From here they learn creativity and to look at different scopes when their friends present different sets of stories. At the same time it improves their reading skills through narration. Interesting rite how one software can make so many things possible.
Hot Potatoes makes it more convenient for teachers to make quizzes and crossword puzzles, not on paper, but online. So instead of doing the normal boring quizzes on paper, students would definitely look forward to such activities online. There goes another wonder of a software. :)
Sadly though, today is the last day we are learning all this wonders from the bubbly teacher.. :(
However juz within 5 days we have attained alot of knowledge from him. It was a short and sweet course. Thank you so much for everything. Today we r goin home wif many knowledge and sweet memories.
